My take on obamas speech last night.....

My first issue is the way the white house staff controls the media by cutting off their mikes and the denial of follow up questions....and whats the story with dear leaders lame answers.....if we weren’t regaled with half truths, we got “I don’t know, but I’ll let you know.” And yes, he actually said that!
Secondly, many folks loved to loathe Dear Leader’s wonderful selective memory. On what? Name the topic and he’ll forget just about anything that makes him look bad, but in this case, it’s the economy. Specifically, how he LOVES repeating the mantra that he ‘inherited’ a debt of more than $1-trillion from President George W. Bush,
I have two issues with that supposition:
1) Before Maobama took office, the U.S. budget was expected to be $482-billion. Of course, it was just a projection, but the ‘final’ tally was dependent on “the next president's” ability to cut taxes or increase spending. The projected deficit for the fiscal year that began October 1st was higher than the $407 billion forecast by President Bush in February. The bigger shortfall reflected dwindling tax receipts because of the economic slowdown, the cost of a $168 billion economic stimulus package and spending on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
2) Dear Leader was then SENATOR Obama - and voted the stimulus package through!
The best part of last night’s free-for-all? And yes, I’m being sarcastic. Had to be when Mr. Obama went after DOCTORS! During his remarks, he suggested that under the current health care system, doctors make medical decisions based on what they would be paid for a procedure rather than the best treatment. To that end, he described a patient who sees a physician for a sore throat, or a parent who brings in a child with a sore throat.
What Maobama had to say was at best, ridiculous - and at worst, downright shameful. "Right now, doctors a lot of times are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that's out there,” Obama offered. “The doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, 'You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid's tonsils out.” But that’s not all. The president added: "Now, that may be the right thing to do, but I'd rather have that doctor making those decisions just based on whether you really need your kid's tonsils out or whether it might make more sense just to change — maybe they have allergies. Maybe they have something else that would make a difference."
“I really believe that these people - the Democrats - see themselves as elites. They see themselves as separated from the peasants - that’s us. It’s as if Obama believes that we must have these exalted rulers because we’re too stupid to do it ourselves.”
Another heralded headline from Maobama’s shenanigans last night was Dear Leader remarking about the recent arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. in Boston - namely that he accused Cambridge Police of acting “stupidly” while openly admitting that he “didn’t have all the facts!” Maybe Maobama should have gotten them before spouting off. If he had, he’d have seen that Sergeant James M. Crowley acted completely appropriately given the circumstances. In short, Gates locked himself out of his house, jimmied the door open, a neighbor saw ‘a person possibly breaking into a house’ and called police. When Crowley arrived on the scene, he witnessed the first responding officer asking Gates for his identification - to prove that the house was indeed his - and Gates being belligerent and crying racism over the request.
Go here to see the actual police report:
http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/local/henry_louis_gates_arrest_reports_062109
and when you do, consider that Sgt Crowley’s record is unblemished - and that he’s receiving support not just from other officers, but from criminal defense attorneys as well. When asked by the “Boston Globe” about Crowley, people who know him were skeptical or outright dismissive of allegations of racism. Described as a respected, and respectful, officer who performs his job well and has led his colleagues in diversity training, Joseph W. Monahan III, a criminal defense lawyer in Cambridge and former Middlesex County prosecutor, added, “He’s evenhanded and, in the cases I’ve had with him, he’s been very much in control and very professional.” Monahan would know - he has represented several defendants arrested by Crowley for domestic assaults and for drunken driving.

Back to the healthcare crap and to specifically Nazi Pelosi, who yesterday trotted out cancer survivors before cameras in an effort to garner support for the Obamacare plan that’s taking shape. One of those speaking was Molly Secours, a Nashville health-care activist, filmmaker and writer, who Pelosi had to recount her struggles to pay for expensive cancer treatments “without adequate health insurance.” Let’s just forget that Secours is on the DNC payroll for a moment (because she IS), and focus instead on what she said - that the bills from her cancer treatment praying for death. No joke. Secours, who in 2006 produced a documentary film detailing the negative effects of cuts in Tennessee's TennCare health-insurance plan, said she was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2007 and found out that her "low-end health-care policy with a large deductible" fell far short of paying the bills for treatment. Secours said she became so despondent over receiving statements for expensive medical services and drugs — including $6,000 per dose for medicine to control nausea from chemotherapy — that she prayed for her treatment to fail so she wouldn't have to face the bills. I guess being alive really sucks. I couldn’t have been more disgusted with Secours‘ apparent disregard for the fact that she still gets to breath and make movies, but also for the way she glosses over that legislators and friends held benefits to raise money for her treatment.
While everyone’s been following the economic meltdown in the Golden State, they’ve apparently missed the Michigan just enacted a hike of the minimum wage to $10 per hour. As if what happened to the auto industry wasn’t enough to kill jobs! Now throw in obamacare.....Obamacare has “so many clauses, you could drive a truck through them”
My solution to all this mess rests with the individual states....
If you look at American history, the states have really been uppity and have had a lot of old-fashioned gumption in fighting the federal government. In fact, if you go on Google, and you type in “The States' Rights Tradition Nobody Knows,” you can read an article in which it talks about all the things the states did in the 19th Century to resist the federal government. And people assumed this was normal. They didn’t say this is treason, or I bet you guys are secretly just after slavery, since we know that’s the only reason anyone could possibly favor local self-government is so they can enslave people. You didn’t get that. People assumed this was normal, that you want to have the locus of decision-making as close to you as possible. So what we need to realize is what the states got away with in the past in saying to the federal government, I don’t think so. You’re not going to do this; you’re not going to do that. You have no constitutional authority to do it. So instead of passing some toothless resolution or signing a petition and hoping that the 3,000 signatures we got will really impress our overlords, we’re going to take matters into our own hands and say, no, not in this state, you are not doing it.
Well, that would be change we could believe in, in my opinion!!!!

The Patriot Act is Not Conservative

If Americans needed another reminder of why the Democratic Party is absolutely worthless, they got it during last week’s Patriot Act extension debate when Senate Majority leader Harry Reid again behaved exactly like the Bush-era Republicans he once vigorously opposed. In 2005, Reid bragged to fellow Democrats, “We killed the Patriot Act.” Today, Reid says that anyone who opposes the Patriot Act might be responsible for the killing of Americans. Dick Cheney now hears an echo and Americans deserve congressional hearings—as to whether Harry Reid is a sociopath, mere liar, or both.

Universal Healthcare is SLAVERY

Supporters of Universal Healthcare want to impose an individual mandate on all working Americans. By doing this, they are sanctioning slavery on the American People. On 09/09/09, President Obama addressed the Congress and the nation, stating that individuals would be required to purchase healthcare. Anyone who does not will be fined up to $1,900, thrown in prison, and fined an additional $25,000. This is a perfect example of government tyranny, and is more properly termed, "fascism." In any program designed to help others, there is always an option to withdraw or not participate. A person who doesn’t want to buy auto insurance can opt not to drive a car. A person who doesn’t want house insurance can rent instead of buying a house. In the case of healthcare, a tax is placed on the right to LIFE itself. We should remember that even the slavemasters of old were interested in the healthiness of their slaves. A person who cannot opt out is not free—he or she is nothing but a slave. Socialist programs like Social Security, Medicare, and the Draft all result in slavery or involuntary servitude. Now is the time to uphold the 13th Amendment by defeating Unconstitutional Healthcare.
